23 March–The IEEE Intellectual Property Rights Office has announced that the IEEE Copyright Form (eCF) can now be read in Japanese, Chinese and Russian, bringing the total number of languages to seven. The new versions of the eCF enable more authors who use English as a second language to better understand copyright transfer and their rights and privileges as IEEE authors.
5 April – IEEE Technical Activities has set a goal to ensure conference content is accessible in IEEE Xplore within 30 to 60 days after the conference. Conference planners are being asked to take a proactive role in reducing delays by submitting a CD-rom containing Xplore-compatible PDF files within seven days of the conference end date.
